This exquisite Brass Lord Venkateswara Balaji Idol with Shankha and Chakra beautifully represents Lord Venkateswara, a revered manifestation of Lord Vishnu, worshipped as the presiding deity of the sacred Tirumala Tirupati Temple. The sculpture brings together traditional South Indian temple iconography, devotional significance and detailed brass craftsmanship.
At the centre, Lord Venkateswara is depicted standing gracefully on a circular pedestal, adorned with an elaborate conical crown, traditional jewellery, layered necklaces and intricately patterned garments. His serene facial expression and carefully sculpted features reflect the divine presence and spiritual significance associated with Lord Balaji.
The deity is depicted with traditional hand gestures and sacred attributes, representing divine blessings, protection and the preservation of righteousness. The detailed ornaments, decorative waistbands and carefully worked garments highlight the richness of traditional Indian religious artistry.
Flanking the central figure are two beautifully sculpted Vaishnavite symbols: the Sudarshana Chakra and Panchajanya Shankha, both associated with Lord Vishnu.
The Sudarshana Chakra, positioned on one side, is represented through an intricately designed circular discus motif, symbolising divine protection, righteousness and the destruction of negative forces.
On the opposite side, the Panchajanya Shankha, or sacred conch, features an elaborate sculptural form with traditional ornamental detailing. The conch is associated with purity, auspicious beginnings and the divine sound of creation.
Behind the central deity rises a distinctive Tirunamam-inspired backdrop, featuring tall, angular elements associated with Vaishnavite temple traditions. This architectural arrangement enhances the sacred character of the sculpture and gives it the appearance of a miniature South Indian temple shrine.
The entire composition rests on an elongated oval brass pedestal, decorated with engraved borders and traditional motifs. The balanced arrangement of the central deity and the two sacred symbols creates a harmonious and visually striking devotional display.
Finished in a warm antique brass tone, the sculpture features golden highlights and darker recessed areas that enhance the depth of its intricate detailing. The traditional finish complements both heritage-inspired interiors and contemporary spaces incorporating Indian spiritual décor.
In Hindu tradition, Lord Venkateswara, also known as Lord Balaji, Srinivasa and Govinda, is revered as a manifestation of Lord Vishnu. Devotees worship him for divine blessings, prosperity, protection, spiritual fulfilment and the removal of obstacles.
The accompanying Shankha and Chakra reinforce the sculpture's Vaishnavite significance, representing divine authority, purity and the preservation of cosmic order.
Ideal for a pooja room, home temple, meditation space, living room, entrance console or traditional South Indian interior, this brass idol brings together spiritual significance, traditional craftsmanship and timeless decorative appeal.
The sculpture also makes a meaningful gift for housewarming ceremonies, religious celebrations, weddings, temple offerings and auspicious occasions, symbolising devotion, prosperity and divine blessings.
The handcrafted nature of the sculpture means that slight variations in colour, texture, detailing and finish may occur, making each piece unique.
