This intricately crafted brass idol of Ravana, also known as "Dashagriva" or "Dashanan," symbolizes the legendary figure with his iconic ten heads. Each head represents different vices such as anger, greed, pride, delusion, envy, lust, lethargy, arrogance, impulsiveness, and despair. Some interpretations also suggest that the ten heads represent Ravana’s mastery over the six shastras and four Vedas, highlighting his immense wisdom and knowledge.

On the rear side of Ravana is Mandodari, his pious and righteous queen, revered for her wisdom and virtue. Despite her limited role in the Ramayana, Mandodari plays a crucial part by advising Ravana to return Sita and urging him to avoid further wrongdoing.
