Product Description
The brass statue of Lord Shanmugar, also known as Lord Murugan, is a revered piece in Hinduism, especially in South India. He is the god of war and victory, depicted with six faces and twelve arms, symbolizing his omniscience and power. Son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, Murugan was created from Shiva’s divine sparks to defeat the demon Surapadman. His victory, celebrated during Skanda Shashti, represents the triumph of good over evil.
The statue shows him with his six faces and twelve arms, holding various weapons. He stands or sits on a peacock, his vehicle, which symbolizes the destruction of ego. The brass material gives the statue a golden look, adorned with intricate jewelry and warrior attire.
Key symbols include the Vel, a spear given by Parvati, representing knowledge and the power to destroy ignorance, and a rooster on his flag, symbolizing wisdom.
Devotees worship Lord Shanmugar for courage and strength. Major festivals like Skanda Shashti and Thaipusam celebrate his victories and attract many devotees. The brass statue is not just an art piece but a symbol of faith, protection, and divine power in Hindu culture.
